OUR PLANT
Integrated Infrastructure for Renewable CBG Production
PRATIMA BIO ENERGY operates an integrated biomass-to-CBG facility at Kermeli, Balangir, Odisha, designed to convert agricultural biomass and energy crops into renewable compressed biogas and valuable organic manure through controlled biological processing and advanced gas upgrading.
Technology Overview
From Biomass to High-Quality CBG
The plant integrates structured feedstock sourcing, silage management, feedstock pre-processing, slurry preparation, controlled anaerobic digestion, dedicated H₂S scrubbing, VPSA-based biogas upgrading, and CBG compression. This integrated process is designed to support consistent gas quality, operational reliability, resource recovery, and long-term sustainability.
01
Feedstock & Silage Management
Structured sourcing and appropriate storage of agricultural biomass and energy crops support dependable year-round plant operations.
02
Pre-processing & Slurry Preparation
Feedstock is size-reduced, prepared, and blended under controlled conditions for consistent digester feeding and efficient biological conversion.
03
Anaerobic Digestion
Prepared organic feedstock is processed in controlled anaerobic digesters, where microorganisms convert biodegradable material into methane-rich raw biogas.
04
Dedicated H₂S Scrubbing
Raw biogas passes through a dedicated H₂S treatment stage to reduce hydrogen sulphide before downstream gas upgrading.
05
VPSA Biogas Upgrading
Pre-treated biogas is upgraded using Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption technology to separate carbon dioxide and other impurities, producing methane-rich biomethane.
06
CBG Compression & Resource Recovery
Upgraded biomethane is compressed into CBG, while nutrient-rich digestate is recovered for processing into valuable organic manure.
Designed Around Circular Resource Use
The facility is designed around an integrated circular model in which agricultural biomass is converted into renewable gas while nutrient-rich digestate is recovered for productive agricultural use. This approach connects clean-energy production with resource efficiency, soil value, and rural supply-chain participation.
Built for Reliable Clean-Energy Partnerships
PRATIMA BIO ENERGY combines agricultural sourcing capability, process infrastructure, gas treatment technology, and resource recovery within an integrated operating platform. The facility is positioned to support long-term engagement with public-sector institutions, gas-sector stakeholders, financial institutions, corporate partners, and agricultural communities.
